1420/250 UNI Split Gland? is the perfect solution for those looking for a splittable cable gland that is both reliable and easy to install. PFLITSCH has extended its range of splittable cable entries with this fully splittable plastic and metal cable gland, consisting of two halves ? the cable gland body and the pressure screw. The sealing inserts are specially designed to allow preassembled cables to be placed in them. What makes the UNI Split Gland? stand out is its splittable design that allows the whole of the hole diameter to be used for feeding through prefitted plugs. The UNI Split Gland? is based on the UNI Dicht ? principle, ensuring dependably sealed cables without damaging them. The appropriate TPE-V sealing inserts from the UNI Dicht? range can be used to realise a large sealing range. The UNI Split Gland? is designed to achieve IP 67 protection (in accordance with EN 60529) and Type 4X with its soft-squashing action exerted by the sealing insert over a large area of the cable sheath, the seal in the plane of the split, and a further seal at the connection thread. The UNI Split Gland? is available in polycarbonate or zinc die casting and excels with strain relief in accordance with EN 62444 and an operating temperature range of -20 ?C to +80 ?C. The cable gland can be split, allowing for preassembled cables to be installed and future cables to be added without interrupting production. This feature also creates the advantage of not having to dismantle preassembled cables. Installing the UNI Split Gland? is quick and easy with only a few components, ensuring efficiency in installation time. The cable gland is placed into the sealing insert while using a practical set of spreading pliers. Then, the two halves of the cable gland body are fitted around the cable which is already in the sealing insert. Finally, the two halves of the pressure screw are placed around the cable, engage with one another, and screwed onto the cable gland body. Uninstalling is just as simple ? the two cable gland halves can be easily unlocked using a screwdriver.
