KC2500 Series
KEC KC 2500 EMC Backshells are designed for use with multiple termination devices and provide high levels of EMC and environmental performance. These lightweight and compact backshells are suitable for all standard circular connectors, with overall screening provided through a band strap system.
Installation is made secure with teeth on the backshell body that mesh with connector teeth for a positive lock, and blind teeth for increased EMC screening capability. The metal compression ring enhances environmental sealing with the connector, and the overall environmental seal is equal to or higher than the IP rating of the connector. An additional environmental seal is provided by a heat shrink boot for maximum protection.
The KC 2500 series is part of the KC 2000 range of high-performance EMC backshells that deliver both individual and overall screening and environmental protection. Customers can choose their preferred method of screen termination, from simple cable ties to springs, band straps, clamps, and heat shrinkable metal rings. For customers with existing tooling investments, the KC 2500 backshell is also available without any screen termination device, allowing the customer to continue to use their preferred termination method.
